EduFuturists 12 - Leslie McBeth

This week Dan and Ben chat with Leslie McBeth in Canada. Leslie has nearly 15 years of experience at the intersection of design and education. She started her career at the United Nations developing campaigns to educate and empower human rights workers in the field. This position brought her to New York City, where she joined the team at the Design Trust for Public Space. Leslie worked with the world’s top architects, designers and policy leaders to develop solutions to complex problems in the public built environment. Inspired by the power of design to engage individuals in civic action, Leslie moved back to Canada to pursue a career in teaching design. She joined Future Design School to build and expand professional development programs across North America. She created a suite of programs for educators that empowers them to break down their classroom walls and engage students in future-ready learning experiences that connect to curriculum. Over the past two years, she has worked with more than 5000 educators around the world from Australia to Sweden to California. You can follow her on Twitter @LesMcBeth
